This venture from top chef Mark Hix is in a former electricity generating station in Shoreditch and features an imposing Damien Hirst installation slap bang in the middle of the restaurant.
The menu is simplicity itself, a choice of starters, followed by main courses of either a whole free-range chicken or beef, carved at the table and designed to share.
The venue has three private hire spaces. A mezzanine floor offers private dining for up to 40 guests with views over the restaurant and the specially commissioned artwork.
The Kitchen Library houses Hix's personal cookbook collection, alongside artworks, and can cater a private chef's table for 12 or cocktail reception for 25.
Hix Art, is an 'industrial-chic' event space with regularly changing exhibitions by emerging artists, that can host formal meals, drinks receptions, or DJs and dancing.
