Dalston Eastern Curve Garden
Dalston Eastern Curve Garden is a tranquil oasis is the middle of one of the most built-up urban areas of Hackney.
Built on the site of a disused railway line, this community-run green space is hidden behind hoardings next to Dalston's famous peace mural.
Trees and shrubs including hazel, hawthorn and birch flourish alongside butterfly bushes, bracken and other plants that attract wildlife. It also has large raised beds for growing food, such as tomatoes, peppers and scented herbs, all nurtured by a team of dedicated volunteers.
The garden is free to enter and open seven days a week, twelve months a year, often hosting community events and school visits.
