Clissold Park is one of the borough's most loved green spaces, which first opened to the public in 1889, and remains central to the local community.
In 2011, it underwent a multi-million pound renovation project by Hackney Council and now boasts amenities including tennis courts; an outdoor table tennis table; bowling green; wheel park for skaters and BMX-ers; and a multi-use games area for five-a-side football and basketball.
The park also has two lakes, paddling pool, aviary, animal enclosure and butterfly dome. Since 2007, it has held a Green Flag award - Keep Britain Tidy's marker of the best green spaces in the country.
Within the landscaped grounds, sits the Grade II listed mansion Clissold House, which first opened to the public in 1889, and after extensive renovation work, now has a café and event space available for hire.
Booking is needed for the tennis courts, bowling green and multi-use games area.
